Concept Notes

This project is an ongoing exploration of how interaction design can bridge visual and sensory experiences. Right now, I’m gathering ideas, researching accessibility in art, and sketching early concepts for how color, vibration, and light might translate into new ways of perceiving beauty.

Current Focus

  • How can we translate visual information into tactile or auditory feedback?

  • What tools or technologies can support accessibility in art and design?

  • How do sensory interactions change our emotional connection to art?

  • How can digital tools like TouchDesigner be used to prototype these experiences?

Process Notes

I’m currently collecting references on haptic design, light feedback, and accessible media art. I’m also exploring how sensory substitution might create new pathways to experience visual art. This research will shape the first round of prototypes I plan to build in TouchDesigner later this year.

What’s Next

The next stage is to prototype light and vibration responses to visual input. Updates will appear here as the work progresses through 2026.

My inspiration for this stage comes from J. A. Escudero’s research on Haptic Scores: Non-visual ways of experiencing choreography. This study investigates how movement can be translated into tactile patterns, allowing choreography to be felt rather than seen. The concept expands how art can be experienced beyond vision, which aligns deeply with what I want to explore through digital interaction.
